Group Counseling Program
Group counseling consists of exploring yourself through interactions with other students with similar concerns Group counseling is led by a professional counselor. Specific group counseling services will be announced via website and e-mails. Here are a few of our frequent group counseling services:
- Relationships Revisited is a relationship enrichment program for international students at SNU. The program involves ten 2 -hour weekly sessions. About 4-8 students meet with 1-2 trained counselor(s) to talk about their interpersonal concerns. Relationships reveal much about your values, hopes, and even fears. This group counseling will provide you with a rare opportunity to talk about relationship issues you've been keeping to yourself with supportive others.
- Thesis/Dissertation Support Group seeks to provide psychological and practical support for graduate students who are writing their thesis/dissertation. Many graduate students feel stuck in the process of preparing or writing their thesis/dissertation. The group leader (professional counselor) and members will share experiences (successes and failures), provide psychological support to each other, talk about strategies, create personal plans and develop healthier work habits.
